With the start of a new season, NOVA MEDA sets sail once again from the port of Palamós with a clear objective: to offer fresh fish and seafood from the Costa Brava while maintaining a firm commitment to sustainable and responsible fishing.
Each fishing season is an opportunity to reaffirm a way of working that combines fishing tradition, knowledge of the sea and technical innovation. The vessel Nova Meda operates in strict compliance with current regulations, respecting quotas, minimum sizes and closed seasons, and applying selective fishing gear that reduces the impact on the seabed.
Sustainability is not a narrative; it is a daily practice. The vessel’s regulated engine helps optimise fuel consumption and reduce emissions, while product selection is carried out on board, ensuring that only catches in optimal condition and of the highest quality reach the fish market.
This new season also strengthens our relationship with restaurants, fishmongers and intermediaries who trust NOVA MEDA as a local supplier. The product reaches the fish market on the same day it is caught, ensuring freshness, traceability and transparency—key values for the professional channel.
After three generations dedicated to the sea, we continue to look ahead with a clear conviction: fishing well today is how we secure the future of the sector tomorrow. And yes, the future looks promising.
